Why I'd Make A Great Cannes Lion

Interested in the Young Media Academy, this portfolio site is designed to demonstrate why I feel I make a great candidate. Entering the industry already possessing strong technical and analytical skills has enabled me to bring new, innovative ideas to the table. Complete with tagging and analytics, this site acts as not only an application but an exercise in setting up the behind-the-scenes workings of a website providing an example of my desire to use everything as an opportunity to improve. Gaining this greater understanding will help me deliver better results for clients in a rapidly evolving, tech-focused media landscape. For me, the Cannes Lion Festival would represent an opportunity to improve my knowledge of all media channels whilst gaining the confidence to share my ideas not just with my colleagues at iCrossing, but with the wider industry. Having spent the past couple of years becoming an expert in paid search marketing to complement my existing skill set, I feel it is now time to step up to the next level by broadening my knowledge and increasing my visibility within the industry. I feel that attending the Cannes Lions Festival will inspire me to achieve this goal.

    Courage & determination to challenge the status quo and improve processes. Showed strength & resolve when recently completing the Brighton marathon, raising considerable money for charity.

    A desire to use the Cannes Festival to begin sharing more ideas, and gain the confidence to begin developing from a high-potential talent to an industry thought-leader.
